Terms and Conditions
Travelling
The client undertakes to telephone the chalet during the day of traveling to update on the estimated time of arrival. The chalet telephone number will be provided.
Accessibility
The chalet will be available from 3:00pm on arrival day, and must be vacated by 0930 on departure day. Prior arrangements can be made for luggage to be stored for extra day’s skiing if the Party arrives earlier, or wishes to ski on their last day.
Unfortunately the chalet or services will not be available prior to 1500 on the day of arrival or after 0930 on the day of departure. However, cafes and bars are only a short walk away.
Smoking
We request smoking is limited to outside on the balcony
Definitions
The client(s) include all individuals named on the booking form, traveling with the person named on the booking form and/or any booking taken from a business, firm or corporate entity.
The named person on the booking form takes responsibility for the party staying at Chalet Les Monts for the duration of the holiday.
All bookings at “Chalet Les Monts” are subject to the following terms and conditions:
Reservation
No contract exists between “Chalet Les Monts” or Ivor and Marie-Odile Record (the owners) and the client(s) making the reservation until a deposit of 25% of the full payment (total cost) and the booking form signed by the Party Leader have been received. The Party Leader guarantees payment in full of the total cost and does so on behalf of and with the consent of all others for whom the booking is made.
Included in your holiday
Accommodation as described on the web site
Breakfast - (8am - 9.30am).
Afternoon tea
Aperitif - beer, wines, Champagne, snacks.
Dinner – 4 courses of traditional cuisine
including
cheese.
After dinner fresh coffee and chocolates.
Wines throughout dinner.
Continental breakfast on the guests’ day out.
Excluded from your holiday
Travel and taxi transfers
travel and medical insurance
skiing equipment
ski passes
tuition.
Payment
The balance of the cost must be made at least 9 weeks prior to arrival. For bookings made within 9 weeks of arrival, the full payment must accompany the booking form.
Should full payment not be received by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and apply the under mentioned cancellation charges.
Any payments made by credit card will be subject to a 2.5% surcharge.
Cancellations
Cancellations by the Client – All cancellations must be made in writing by the Client.
Cancellation Insurance MUST be taken out by the client.
The following cancellation charges apply :
More than 9 weeks before arrival Deposit only
4 -8 weeks of arrival 40% of total cost
2 - 4 weeks of arrival 60% of total cost
0 - 2 weeks of arrival 100% of total cost
If we cancel
In the unlikely event that we are obliged to cancel your holiday prior to departure, you will be notified and will receive a full refund. We reserve the right to cancel your holiday without refund as a result of unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control which include but are not limited to acts of God, force majeure, war or threat of war, riots, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial dispute, acts of government, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire, closure of ports and airports or similar events.
Insurance
It is a condition of booking that all clients have full holiday insurance, including medical, winter sports, cancellation and third party cover. Evidence of adequate travel and holiday insurance cover for each person on the booking form must be provided to “Chalet Les Monts” at least 9 weeks prior to arrival or at the time of booking if later. “Chalet Les Monts” or its owners reserve the right to terminate the booking and impose cancellation charges in the even that such evidence is not provided.
We strongly recomend you take a holiday cancellation Insurance.
Responsibilities
Our responsibilities
We undertake to provide the holiday as described on our web site. We reserve the right to make changes and alterations and you will be informed whenever possible before your booking is confirmed. However we undertake not to impose any surcharges. Once your holiday has been booked, the price will not alter.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for your own insurance, travel documents and travel arrangements. Transport, hotels, restaurants, sports and activity providers and other similar services are not under our control and we therefore shall not be liable for any act or omission on their part.
Clients undertake to behave in such a way, as not to disrupt the enjoyment of others or damage the reputation of “Chalet les Monts” or its owners. We reserve the right to terminate without compensation or refund the holiday of any person not upholding these conditions and we shall have no further obligation to that person.
Any damages to the chalet or its contents will be charged to the client and must be settled before departure.
The person signing the booking form accepts these conditions on behalf of the client(s) and shall be responsible for all actions, loss, damages and costs caused by any client(s). They shall indemnify us (the owners) against any claims including legal costs made against the company by any person.
Other groups
We reserve the right to have other parties staying in the chalet unless the whole chalet is taken.
Drinks
Aperitifs and Champagne are offered before dinner.
Refunds
No refunds in respect of meals not taken will be given
Delays
“Chalet Les Monts” or its owners shall not be liable for any delays prior to arrival at your accommodation or during the course of any holiday brought about by weather conditions, strikes, traffic congestion or any other circumstances whatsoever, whether foreseen or unforeseen.
Complaints
In the unlikely event that you should have cause for complaint during your stay, please inform us immediately so that we may take the appropriate action without delay. We cannot subsequently accept a complaint that has not been brought to our attention during the course of your holiday.
Jurisdiction
These conditions and any contract to which they apply are governed and construed in accordance with English law and are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. All disputes arising from the interpretation, fulfillment, non-fulfillment or application of this contract will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Englandand Wales.
